Todd Nickel, D.O., is a board certified ophthalmologist who specializes in laser vision correction, cataract surgery and eyelid surgery. Dr. Nickel received training in all areas of comprehensive ophthalmology as a resident at University of Kansas Medical Center. In addition to his ophthalmology practices, Dr. Nickel also specializes in administering BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment to patients seeking to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Prior to medical school, Dr. Nickel completed counseling studies at Denver Conservative Baptist Seminary, followed by his pre-med training at Metropolitan State College of Denver.
Dr. Nickel has served as the director for many youth programs, offering faith and guidance to troubled kids. His volunteer work at free clinics serving inner-city children inspired him to pursue a career in medicine. While completing his degree, Dr. Nickel had the privilege of training and conducting research with nationally recognized pioneers in LASIK surgery. In addition, he was a lead author of a LASIK study presented at the Eye Banks Association of America Scientific Session to the American Academy of Ophthalmology in Orlando, Florida.
